  • Community Resources Consultants of Toronto -  is a multi-service community mental health agency serving adult consumers/survivors.
  • Prevention and Early Intervention Program for Psychoses (PEPP) A community focused mental health program which provides prompt assessment and comprehensive, phase-specific medical and psychosocial treatment for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis.
  • The Soup Can League The Soup Can League is an idea. The Mental Health system was built to make us well enough to function. That's not sufficient. We deserve to thrive. To feel excellent. To enjoy ourselves. We deserve to be seen as people, not labels. We can change the system - but in the meantime we have to improve the quality of our own lives, doing for ourselves what they do not. Treat yourself well and demand the same from others.
  • Telecare Distress Centre is a non-profit organization providing 24/7 emotional and listening support to all those who are experiencing isolation, mental health issues, suicide related feelings, grief, loss, stress, abuse or just having difficulty coping in life. Our multi-lingual crisis lines (Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Spanish and Portuguese) are open from 10am-10pm. The Crisis Lines can be reached at: 905-459-7777.

  • Mental Health Works Mental Health Works helps organizations to recognize the important role they can play in supporting the mental health of their employees and how they can respond appropriately when employees experience mental health problems.
  • The Bright Side - The Bright Side is a non-profit organization, which aims to provide support for anyone who is feeling emotionally overwhelmed with life.
  • Support-Group.com - allows people with health, personal, and relationship issues to share their experiences through Bulletin Boards & Online Chat and provides links to support-related information on the Internet.
  • Advocacy Unlimited - (Conneticut, USA) an advocacy educational website containing lots of information and resources for people with mental health disabilities. The highlight is on an educational program to gain advocacy skills and knowledge.
  • Medical Students for Mental Health Awareness -  mandate is to provide education and to remove stereotypes and stigma associated with mental illness.
  • Toolkits for Consumers, Families and Caregivers -  from the Canadian Collaborative Mental Health Initiative

  • Magpie Publishing/Media - with a commitment toward conquering depression, Anchor is a quarterly magazine dedicated to bringing help, education, and hope to those suffering depressive disorders.
  • Touched by Fire -  Organized by the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario (MDAO), Touched by Fire, is annual art exhibition to celebrate the work of Ontario artists who suffer from a mood disorder (depression/bipolar).
  • Caregiver Connect -  Are you caring for someone you love? Caregiver Connect, led by VON, is designed to make the role of caregiver easier to manage. It has on-line tools, a supportive discussion forum and trusted, up-to-date and professionally vetted health information. The additional support on the portal with reduce the isolation caregivers often feel and serve to improve their overall health.

  • Durham Region Employment Network (DREN)  - is a not-for-profit agency that provides a single, coordinated means of information sharing on the vast array of employment, education/training, and community service programs available in Durham. DREN has approximately 70 member organizations that help people find jobs and offer community support, if needed.
